THE PIRATES

Originally entitled The Ginga Pirates since their erstwhile skipper Billy Gammon left for foreign shores and handed the reins over to the fair skinned Fred Perry the moniker 'Ginga' was quietly dropped from all press releases and other promotional material.  They've never won the tournament, threatened to come close on a few occasions but their off course antics generally tend to catch up with them.  How their current skipper led the all time Hall of Fame when the 2009 tournament teed off is one of the sporting worlds most inexplicable anomalies.
